We pride ourselves on the freshness of our coffee beans which are roasted locally and despatched to us on the day they are roasted, giving you, our customer access to the best possible flavours form around the world. We have coffees from South America, Asia and Africa all of which have their own unmistakeable characteristics.

Brazil Santos - Brazilian coffees have been dramatically improving as the producers have realised that fine coffee does not have to be bulked and can be sold with its own unique character. The Brazil Santos produces a magnificent bold bean coffee which roasts to give a coffee that is both smooth and sweet. This is a lovely example of all that is best in Brazil. (£1.47/100g)

Colombian Fair Trade Excelso - This is grown in the Central Cordillera and is prized for its smooth and consistent well-balanced flavour. It has a beautiful heavy body and a lovely nutty aftertaste. This coffee is ideal for filter or cafetiere. (£1.60/100g)

(£1.55/100g)

Continental Blend - This is one of the few blends that use a 20% African robusta inclusion. This is a very dark roasted coffee. This coffee is included to increase the depth of flavour and provide lower, earthy tones as a counter-balance to the brighter tones of the Central American coffees. This is a very traditional deep-roast coffee with a strong, almost treacle liquorice finish. (£1.47/100g)

Costa Rican Decaffeinated - The decaffeination using the Carbon Dioxide method provides coffee with a very true flavour characteristic. This is a very well tried process and the Costa Rican maintains it's sweet and nutty character without the caffeine. (£1.56/100g)

Costa Rican Tres Rios - A must try for coffee lovers who crave the best. Backed by centuries of expertise and nurtured amid cool volcanic mountains and an ideal climate. The coffees of the Tres Rios region benefit from the rich, lava-based soil and are considered to be the Burgundy of Costa Rica. A full roast gives a honeyed aroma which is complemented by hints of fruit and spice. Coffee lovers consider its flavour to be complex yet elegant. It is bright on the palate, yet soft and non-bitter in its finish. (£1.59/100g)

Bireli’s Espresso Blend – A 50/50 blend of dark continental roast beans and French breakfast beans which provides strength with a sweet after flavour. Best served with warm milk and croissants, guaranteed to wake you up!

Kenya AA Blue Mountain - In the heart of the prime coffee growing regions of Kenya, farmers whose shambas thrive in the shadow of the snow-capped peaks of Mt. Kenya produce a coffee that boasts a fine acidity, a full smooth body, and that incredible blackcurrant flavour that is the hallmark of a top quality Kenya AA. (£1.70/100g)

Sri Lankan Teas

Once the world's largest producer of tea, the island of Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) is renowned for the superior quality of its tea. The majority of Sri Lanka's tea gardens are situated in the south-west of the island at a height of between 1,000 and 2,500 metres, with the finest teas grown at the highest altitudes where the cool and slightly misty climate results in a slow growth of the tea bushes, giving these teas their uniquely colourful liquor and intense flavour.

Indian Teas

India is one of the world's largest producers of tea, with three main speciality teas: Assam, Darjeeling and Nilgiri. The tea gardens of Assam lie in the fertile valley of the Brahmaputra River in Northern India, where tropical conditions and high levels of rainfall produce teas that are traditionally strong and pungent with a rich, malty flavour. Darjeeling teas are grown in the foothills of the Himalayas where the cooler, moist climate produces subtle, delicately flavoured teas with a wonderful aroma. They are often referred to as the "Champagne" of teas. The Nilgiris, or Blue Mountains, lie in the south-west of India, and produce fine flavoured teas with rounded flavours and bright liquors.
